Welcome to our Quarter 2 Elevate Ruler Subscription Box!
The Big T (or Capital T) quilt block is a traditional, pieced pattern dating back to at least the late 19th century. Known for its bold "T" shape, it is frequently associated with the Temperance movement, though historically it was often simply a popular, easy-to-sew, scrappy pattern. Interestingly, also known as Capital T, Imperial T, and Tea for Four.
Traditionally a nine-patch layout, it is now often created using simple Half Square Triangles (HSTs) and Flying Geese for speed and efficiency.
