This course was originally offered as a Zoom class. These are the vidoes from those sessions. Basic Pattern is included, however the actual sewing of the block will not be shown. The emphasis of this course will be on quilting a 50” by 60” quilt top. Pam will share tips and tricks of template quilting in addition to wrangling a larger project. Various Westalee Design templates will be used and may be influenced by students’ comments.

This is a whole cloth wall-hanging made with our new Artisan Curves Multi Circles template along with two Circles on Quilts templates. It is a fun combination of circles, hearts, and imagination. The quilt can be easily expanded and playing with color and shadows is a standout attribute. The class is a Zoom Class which means you will have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers/suggestions in real time. We also are able to talk to fellow students and get input for our own project. The Zoom platform is a great way to converse and get to know other quilters like yourself that love template/ruler quilting. Class size is limited so early registration is suggested.

This class will feature the piecing of the timeless log cabin block into a functional piece of art that will adorn your table. The project will be taught from beginning to finish. We will also look at an optional table runner to polish off the look. The focus of this class will be piecing precisely and easily teaching the perfect seam allowance with a combination of cutting, thread, stitching placement and pressing. The template choices for this project will focus on roundness of circles, spin-e-fex curly q's, circles on quilts, and spinning wheels. You do not need to have each of these templates as we will explore different looks with this fun and functional project.

This is a Zoom platform class meaning that the class is offered live from the comfort of your own home. You will have the ability to ask questions and receive answers in real time. Each instructional portion of the classes will be recorded and uploaded to the University so that you will have the class always available to you. The class is focused on design, meaning that we will use different templates to make different shapes and fills. While we will be working with specific templates, there is no need to have each template listed. We will work with what you have. Seating is limited to 25 students and will fill quickly. In this course you will learn how to turn a corner with the Westalee Border Sampler Set. We will also delve into some additional borders that are suitable for either regular ruler stitching or templee for a special touch to your quilt. This will be a Zoom class with recordings to review at your convenience. I like the Zoom platform so we can interact in real time and from the comfort of your own sewing studio (or dining room table as I used for many years). We will discuss some of the math that goes into borders and how to make a corner for a border as well as ensuring a smooth transition of design. You will not be required to stitch during the live sessions, these will be for observing design demonstrations, asking questions and quilt progress sharing. Course outline: • Full course over 12 sessions (approx 8 months) • Live Zoom Sessions: 1-2hrs max • Access to video recordings of each session to playback in your own time • Small group sizes to ensure time for interaction (approx 8-10 persons) • Private Online Support Group to share your progress and support others • Course Fee: $250 (can be paid in instalments), $62.50 deposit to secure your place plus 3 further instalments.
