This is a perfect project for beginners and experts alike. The Square in a Square Quilt block is also known as the classic economy block. Easy to plan, piece, quilt and a versatile block for creating both large and small projects.
Mendy shows 2 versions a QAYG and then pieced Quilt Top which she finishes with beautiful embroidery designs. A great combination to elevate your creativity.

Westalee Design Adjustable Rulers are accurate and easy to use.
Simply set the desired strip width, lock the guide and cut. The last cut will be the same as the first, every time. Includes 45 and 60 degree angled lines and ruled lines at 1/8″ increments.

Mendy got her first taste of sewing at age 8, sewing her own clothes. She was so enthusiastic she turned a bed sheet into dress and wore it to school! Mendy continued sewing for many years while making clothes for her children and then in late 2009 her and her family purchased the company Sew Steady.
Mendy's enthusiasm for sewing turned to quilting with the introduction of Westalee Design Templates. Mendy is a Westalee Design Accredited Teacher, and shares her love of designing, fabrics and our Westalee Design Templates.
