Patchwork and Embroidery Project
By Melissa Tippets
Join Sew Steady for this FREE Patchwork and Embroidery project show casing Westalee Design Patchwork Tools and embroidery designs from our NEW Embroidelee Sampler Collection.
This is a perfect project for beginners and experts alike. The Hourglass Quilt Block features four triangles in two fabric colors situated in a square with opposite triangles in the same color to create an hourglass shape. This quilt block dates to the 19th century. By playing with fabric color and block placement, many variations of this quilt block can be created. Easy to plan, piece, quilt and a versatile block for creating both large and small projects.
We will show 2 versions of a QAYG and then pieced Quilt Top which is finished with beautiful embroidery designs. A great combination to elevate your creativity.
