Do you love Charm Squares...
Charm squares, also known as "nickel" squares, are 5 in x 5 in pieces of precut quilting fabric that are convenient for making patchwork quilts. They originated in traditional charm quilts from the 19th century, which were made for utility purposes from worn clothing and often featured hundreds or thousands of different fabric pieces. Quilters would trade fabric pieces with each other to get the variety they needed, and the fabrics in the quilts often represented the quiltmaker's life at the time.
